About Me
It has always been easy for me to find inspiration through my lens and to use images to convey how I view the world, but I’m not as enthusiastic when it comes to talking about myself. So, instead of toiling away with the written word, I asked my grandmother to take a crack at it, and this is what she wrote:
I would like to take this opportunity to talk about one of my finest upstanding grandsons, Daniel Lewin. I was just admiring some of the super photos he has taken. All his photos come out so perfect. He knows just when to snap the picture when the facial expressions are so right!

One of Dan’s other talents is his dynamic singing voice. I could listen to him sing all day long. He was a very good student in school, performed in many well-known plays, loved acting, and was also the captain of the high school swim team.

Dan and his wife Corey have a darling baby girl, Kahea, who will be a year old in August 2010. Dan is a wonderful father. He takes many many photos of Kahea which are so very professional and a joy to look at. So beautiful and adorable!

I know that being Dan’s grandmother may make me seem a little biased, but what I said about Dan is the truth. He truly is a very kind, generous, loving grandson besides having so many more good attributes. Too many to mention. Dan is a credit to his generation and to society.”  - Nana
All right, maybe that wasn’t very helpful. Point is, my grandmother loves me and I have a great passion for photography. My style is candid portraiture, favoring natural light and guided by a photojournalistic notion that every good shot tells a story.  Whether I’m photographing children, families, couples, pets, rock stars, or blades of grass, I strive to capture the most genuine moments that will create an indelible impression on the viewer.  I consider myself extremely fortunate to be a part of these experiences and to help convey stories through my lens.
